Fo Sho (64)

Mos Def’s father Fo’ Sho was born and raised on the streets of Kingston, Jamaica.  Released his 18th studio album Rasta Glamma earlier this year on Def Jam.

Damn Rite (57)

Mother Damn Rite is now an established actress, experiencing roles in The Wire and Keenan and Kel, but was a prolific emcee in the 80s collaborating with Salt n Pepa on DP Bitches.

Aiight (36)

The eldest of Mos Def’s three brothers, politically motivated Aiight has been providing lyrical social commentary in a career spanning 15 years.

4Real$ (38)

After early success in 1992 with his LP Keep it Real$ reaching #12 in the US Billboard charts, his career in the subsequent 5 years nosedived completely, culminating in him carving 4Real$ into his forehead during a radio interview with DJ Jazzy Jeff.  He now currently resides in Carmillo State Mental Hospital.

Hell Yeah (Died aged 29)

At the time of his death, rapper and producer Hell Yeah weighed a monstrous 26 stone and reportedly would drink 70 bottles of suds a day. The decision was made to have Hell Yeah put down in 2003 due to complications with his urinary tract. 3,000 people attended his funeral.
